  21. You can't compre the cost of NT with a freeware OS who doesn't cost anything.

  23. Instead You should compare it (if You really need comparing) to commercial
  24. unices like Solaris x86, SCO, Unixware and Nextstep.

  26. Freeware software will *always* be cheaper than commercial software.

  28. For my purposes NT (and OS/2) is a great general platform for doing what I
  29. want (I also have FreeBSD 2.1 to toy with if I feel like using some unix).

  31. For you, maybe Linux is your best main OS. And for someone else maybe XX is
  32. the best OS for him.
